A popular roadside café has closed for more filming just months after landing a starring role in the comeback music video for an Australian pop star.

Nell's Cafe in Gravesend is shut for the next week while shooting for a new Sky Atlantic series is reportedly taking place.

In the last few days the diner's iconic roadside sign has been replaced with a message reading "Crookies cookies".

A post from the cafe read: "Nell's will be closed from Monday August 9, reopen again on Saturday 14 at 7am.

"We apologise to all our customers for any inconvenience and we will hopefully make it up to you once we reopen."

Users have speculated online it is being used for the filming of a new Sky Atlantic comedy horror, The Baby.

The eight-part series is described as a dark comedy led by Actor Michelle De Swarte, who debuted in Netflix's The Duchess, starring comedian Katherine Ryan.

It comes just months after Torn singer and ex-Neighbours actress Natalie Imbruglia was spotted filming at the roadside eatery.

It has since been revealed the star was shooting her comeback single "Build it Better" at the popular diner just off the A2 at Marling Cross.

The upbeat track is the Australian actresses' first release of new material in 12 years, as part of her upcoming sixth studio album Firebird.

Speaking in April, Sandra Hassan, owner of the cafe, confirmed the actor's attendance, describing her as "lovely and beautiful."

Social media users also reacted to sightings of the Australian singer-songwriter.

One person commentated: "Was she responsible for the police escort with several black Range Rovers driving fast through the traffic lights in Wrotham Road going towards the A2?"

After leaving Aussie soap Neighbours, Natalie shot to fame with her 90's anthem Torn and scored an acting credit alongside Rowan Atkinson in spy spoof Johnny English – but was later dropped by her label.

Now in her 40s, with a two-year-old son, she has returned for another shot at the music scene.

But her latest musical score is not the only time Nell's Cafe has seen cameras brought in.

Sky One's Temple, starring Mark Strong, was filmed at the diner and the BBC America drama Killing Eve, starring Sandra Oh and Jodie Comer was also shot on location.
