A woman was cut free from her car this morning after colliding head-on with a skip by the side of the road.
Two appliances from Folkestone were called to the town's Cheriton Road at around 5am to reports a Ford Focus had collided with a skip on the side of the road.
A woman, thought to be in her 50s, was trapped inside the vehicle.
Crews used hydraulic rescue equipment and electrical power tools to create space in the car to enable them to release her.
The woman was then taken to hospital by ambulance with injuries that are not believed to be life-threatening.
Folkestone Fire Station watch manager Vic Thorogood said: "A Ford Focus crashed into a skip that was parked on the side of the road.
"The car hit the skip head on.
"It was a complicated rescue. We were at the scene for around two and a half hours."
The road was closed while services dealt with the incident. It was re-opened at 7.20am.
No other vehicles were involved in the crash.
