Trio rob smartphone and cash in Rendezvous Street assault in Folkestone

Three men are reported to have robbed a man of a smartphone and cash in an early hour assault.

The incident occurred at 2.15am today in Rendezvous Street in Folkestone.

The victim, a man in his 20s, claims he was followed as he walked in Sandgate Road before he was set upon by three unknown men in Rendezvous Street.

No serious injuries were sustained however a quantity of money and smartphone were stolen.

Investigators are now reviewing CCTV and are keen to speak with anyone who may have witnessed anything suspicious around the time of the incident.

One of the suspects is described as being white and around 45 years old. He is 6ft tall with short black hair and was wearing a grey coat at the time.

The second is described as being in his late 30s and also around 6ft tall. He was wearing a blue jumper and also had short black hair.

The third person is described as being in his late 50s, around 5ft 8 ins tall and bald.
