Caravan fire in Station Approach, Littlestone, New Romney, believed to have been started deliberately

Flames tore through a caravan in a suspected arson attack.

The fire could be seen destroying the mobile home in Station Approach, Littlestone, New Romney yesterday evening.

A video shows the blaze bursting through the caravan before fire crews attended.

Firefighters were called just before 7.30pm and tackled the flames for 30 minutes.

After the fire was put out, an image shows the mobile home reduced to rubble.

The caravan was not occupied at the time and no injuries were reported.

A spokesperson for the fire service – which sent two fire engines to the scene – confirmed that it is believed the fire was started deliberately.

Police have been contacted for a comment.
