The long-term future of Faversham Town looks secure after the club agreed a 125-year lease for their Salters Lane ground.
Lilywhites have also become a limited company, having previously operated as a members club, and manager Ray Turner has been appointed to the board of directors.
He said: “We’ve agreed, in principle, a 125-year lease, which is another good step forward for the club.
“It makes a huge difference having a long lease because of the security you’ve got at your ground in terms of moving forward and ground development.
“We’ve secured our future at Salters Lane and that’s a good step forward. At other clubs, where there are shorter leases, the council can change the conditions at will when they’re renegotiating but that won’t be the case here.
“This sort of thing doesn’t always make the news but it’s more important than any player coming into the club.
“The club’s bigger than me or any player and it’s a good opportunity for people to come on board.”
