Hooded intruders threaten trio with weapons

POLICE are hunting three young men who burst into a house and threatened the occupants with a gun and a knife.

The gang, who all had their faces covered with hoods, went into the house in Beaufoy Road, Dover, through an open front door. They demanded money from the three men inside - one in his 50s and two in their 70s.

One of the gang was armed with a knife with an eight-inch blade and also a pistol.

The men managed to push the gang, who were all aged in their early 20s, back out of the front door and nothing was stolen.

Det Insp Steve Bridges said: "This is a very unusual incident and we are making a number of enquiries. Finding these men is a priority."

Anyone with information about this incident, which took place at around 2.30pm on Monday afternoon, is asked to contact police on 01304 240055 or Kent Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
