FERRY services have been disrupted at Dover overnight by gale force winds which swept through the Channel.
Ship movements in and out of the harbour were restricted, and tugs were needed to help ferries enter and leave their berths as winds up to severe gale force nine were recorded.
Heavy rain fell in the town during the night, causing localised flooding on some roads.
