A FORMER Kent police officer has died during a trip to Portugal, it has been revealed.
Michael Kearney, who served in the Dover area for many years and lived at River, was understood to have gone to Portugal with friends to celebrate his 60th birthday.
He had served as coroner’s officer and was involved in the aftermath of the Herald of Free Enterprise tragedy.
