Dartford manager Tony Burman has defended his transfer policy ahead of the start of pre-season.
When the Darts squad assembles for the first training session of the summer on Saturday, there will be six new signings present.
Five of those players are stepping up at least one division to play for Dartford in Conference Premier but where some supporters fear a lack of experience, Burman sees potential and desire.
Kenny Clark and Max Cornhill (both from Chelmsford), Tyrone Sterling (Dover), Matt Fry (Concord) and Lewis Smith (AFC Hornchurch) are the players looking to prove Burman right.
He said: “I only do what I feel is right and I wanted a team with a bit of hunger.
“It’s been easier this year, people have wanted to come. They’ve heard about the league and they want to go to good grounds.
“People have wanted to take that chance. I’m sure the ones who have just signed will be made welcome and I know everyone here is pleased with my signings.”
