Roadworks bring closures

Traffic at the Dartford Crossing is being diverted this week while roadworks bring a series of closures.

The QE II Bridge was closed from 8.30pm on Monday night until 5am Tuesday. It was then shut again on Tuesday night and reopened this morning at 5am.

The southbound entry slip road at junction 31 of the M25 will be closed to traffic, which is to be diverted through the east tunnel.

One of the northbound tunnels will close on tonight at 8.30pm and re-open Thursday morning at 5am. The same will apply during the same hours from Thursday night to Friday morning and from 8.30pm on Sunday to 5am on Monday. Northbound traffic will still be able to use the one remaining tunnel.

Further closures will be in place at the weekend. The east tunnel will be shut from 8pm on Friday until 9am on Saturday, and then from 8pm on Saturday to 10am on Sunday. Traffic will again be diverted through the remaining tunnel.
