Man dies following A2 crash

A man has died following a road crash on the A2 at Dartford.

He suffered serious injuries after his Vauxhall Corsa was involved in a crash with a black London taxi on the coastbound carriageway near the Darenth Interchange on New Year's Day.

The driver, from the West London area, was rushed to Darent Valley Hospital and then transferred to a specialist unit, but died of his injuries on January 16 at Stoke Mandeville Hospital.

The taxi driver suffered minor injuries.

Kent Police is renewing its appeal for witnesses to the crash, which took place at about 5.20am on January 1.
