Delays as two of three lanes close on A2 near Dartford after crash

Motorists are facing delays after two lanes on the A2 were shut after a crash between a tanker and a car.

Drivers are queueing on the London-bound carriageway between the M25 and the junction with the A2018 for Dartford.

It happened between Old Bexley Lane and the A223 Southwold Road.

Two of three lanes are currently closed and drivers are being warned to expect delays.

A police spokesman said: "Kent Police was notified at 8.35am on this morning of a collision involving a lorry and a car on the London-bound carriageway of the A2 near Dartford."

No injuries were reported and highways officers dealt with the incident.
