Dartford had already secured second spot in Blue Square Bet South but couldn’t make it nine wins in 10 at Princes Park after conceding a late equaliser to Boreham Wood.
Tony Garrod had already lashed narrowly wide of Elvijs Putnins’ goal after Ryan Hayes had charged down a clearance before he put the Darts ahead midway through the first half.
A Hayes corner was glanced towards goal by Tom Champion with Garrod on hand to nod it over the line.
However the hosts were pegged back by a fine Graeme Montgomery goal on the half-hour which saw a skilful run finished with a fine drive past Louis Wells in the Darts goal.
In a quiet end-of season game lacking some intensity, Danny Harris broke through the defence after the break but was foiled by the out-rushing Putnins.
Chances were few and far between until substitute Jacob Erksine (pictured) converted a cross from Lee Noble off the inside of the post which looked like it would be enough to secure the points 11 minutes from time.
However the visitors snatched a share of the points two minutes from time when Tony Loughlin headed a fine free-kick past Wells.
Darts wrap-up their regular season at Truro City next Saturday before beginning their play-off campaign and the team finishing fifth – which looks likely to be Basingstoke or Chelmsford following Dover’s home draw with Maidenhead.
