St Dunstan's Street in Canterbury closed as man injured in crash

A man has been rushed to hospital after a crash along a busy road.

Police were called to the scene in St Dunstan's Street, Canterbury, at about 1.50pm today, following reports a car had collided with a post.

Officers have sealed off the route close to the city centre while they recover the vehicle.

A police spokesman said: "Officers attended along with the ambulance service, and a man was taken to a local hospital."

His injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.
