Old Park in Canterbury taped off by police during search for vulnerable person

Police have taped off an area of woodland as part of a search for a vulnerable person.

Old Park, in Canterbury, behind Dickens Avenue, is cordoned off, with three police cars and a forensics vehicle parked up outside an entrance.

Kent Search & Rescue teams were called out to the beauty spot by police this morning.

KSAR members at the scene have told KentOnline they are no longer actively searching for anyone.

Dog teams were used in the operation.

Old Park is an area of dense woodland and open expanse behind the Poet's Estate.

It is popular with both dog walkers and people fishing on the large Reed Pond.
