Football match ends in violence

A GROUP of German students and teachers who let three men join in a game of football in a Kent city park ended up being assaulted and having items stolen.

The three men were accompanied by a women and two children, one in a pushchair.

An incident broke out during the game in Canterbury's Westgate Gardens and when two teachers intervened one was punched in the face and the other spat on.

A rucksack, watch and mobile phones were also stolen. The teachers were shocked but did not require hospital treatment.

The men and woman were all aged between 17 and 30 and one of them had a triangle-shaped scar under one of his eyes.
