The police have had no new leads following a new television appeal by the father and brother of an Ashford murder victim.

Ambrose Dighton, father of Ashley Dighton, appeared alongside his son David, on the Tricia Goddard chat show a fortnight ago.

It is approaching the second anniversary of 19-year-old Ashley, pictured right, going missing.

His headless body was found behind Sainsburys in Simone Weil Avenue on July 11, 2007, a month after he was last seen. No one has been charged with his murder.

Mr Dighton made a fresh appeal on the Trisha show but faced on-screen criticism from his son David, 26, who accused him of making £350 from an appeal story featured in Chat magazine.

This week Mr Dighton said: "There’s no way I have profited from my son’s death. That is David’s opinion and not the opinion of me or my family.

"The money was for my boy’s funeral."
