Suspects charged with Ashford, Hythe and Romney Marsh break-ins appear in court

Two suspects, including a teenage boy, charged in connection with four break-ins in Ashford, Romney Marsh and Hythe have appeared in court.

Robert Davanzo, 28, of Molehill Green, Dunmow and a 16-year-old boy from Braintree, both in Essex, were charged with conspiracy to burgle following an investigation by the Chief Constable’s Crime Squad.

The four burglaries took place on Wednesday, February 16 where cash and jewellery was reported stolen from homes in Willesborough, Greatstone, and Hythe.

The charge also relates to a report of a car and car keys stolen from Hawkins Road in Folkestone on Monday.

The pair were also charged with driving without a licence and insurance.

Mr Davanzo will also face a count of dangerous driving.

They appeared at Folkestone Magistrates’ Court yesterday where they were remanded to a hearing at Canterbury Crown Court on March 28.
